The journey starts with a high-altitude camp near Pho Village, perched at 4,800m. From there, I tackle the massive Nyingma Gyanzen La (5,563m). This pass is a gateway to the true wilderness, offering incredible views but demanding everything I have. After crossing the pass, I made it to Pung Kharka, a remote high-altitude grazing ground located very close to the China border. Setting up my tent here, alone in the silence of the mountains, was an experience I’ll never forget. What’s in this video: 4,800m Basecamp: Cold morning preparations near Pho Village. The Climb: Reaching the 5,563m summit of Nyingma Gyanzen La solo. Border Country: Descending into Pung Kharka, one of the closest points to the Tibet/China border on this route. Solo Survival: Managing food, gear, and morale in the wild. Join the Journey: Crossing the GHT solo is my biggest challenge yet.
