The Ngong–Suswa Road is a 66-kilometre highway. It provides a safer and more direct route out of Nairobi for travellers heading to Narok, Bomet, Kisii, South Nyanza and beyond. Its completion has come as a major relief to motorists. It will enable travellers to avoid the heavy traffic and congestion on the busy Nairobi–Mai Mahiu escarpment road. The road cuts across Kajiado North and Kajiado West sub-counties. The route offers a scenic and less stressful drive. Motorists enjoy panoramic views of the Rift Valley as the road winds through a savannah landscape. Construction has taken many years. The road was recently announced as complete, prompting us to drive its entire length to confirm its status. We can confirm the road is now fully tarmacked and suitable for all vehicles. It takes roughly 1 hour to cover the stretch. Although the road is complete, it is not yet marked. Some older sections have developed potholes. There are also many sharp bends, most of which lack warning signs. In addition, several sections have make-shift speed bumps that are not marked. Motorists are therefore advised to exercise extreme caution. #NgongSuswaRoad #RoadInfrastructure #HighwayDevelopment #KenyaRoads #TransportInfrastructure #NairobiOutskirts #RiftValleyViews #ScenicDrive #KajiadoCounty #RoadSafety #MotoristAdvisory #PublicInfrastructure #TravelKenya #KenyaDevelopment #NarokRoad #MaiMahiu #TrafficRelief #InfrastructureUpdate
