Loch Morar is a freshwater loch located in the West Highlands of Scotland, near the village of Morar and approximately 8 miles (13 kilometers) southeast of Mallaig. It is the deepest freshwater body in the British Isles, reaching a depth of about 1,017 feet (310 meters). The loch is roughly 12 miles (19 kilometers) long and is surrounded by picturesque mountains and rugged landscapes. Loch Morar is known for its stunning natural beauty and pristine wilderness.
