Sony FX3 First Impressions & Is It Better Than The a7S III | Making Of An Activewear Commercial

This video was made possible thanks to Sony Malaysia for giving us early access to the Sony Cinema Line FX3 and the FE 35mm F/1.4 GM. In true PlaybyPause fashion, we believe in unbiased reviews through hands on real world tests and application, and we're super stoked to share our thoughts in a two-part series video. For part one we're focusing on first impressions of the FX3 from a filmmaker's perspective through the making of an activewear commercial of our very own Malaysian homegrown brand, Banana Fighter. How's the built quality? Did anything stood out in particular? Does it qualify as a cinema camera? Is overheating an issue? We've tried and tested all your burning questions and addressed them in this video. This commercial was shot entirely on the Sony FX3 with Native E-mount Lenses (including the FE 35mm F/1.4 GM) with two different outputs - 16 bit ProRes RAW with the Atomos Shogun V and its own internal 422 10 bit format. For part-two of this two-part series, we'll be doing an in-depth comparison between these two different formats as well so stay tuned! On top of that we're eager to find out how would the FX3 fare against our go-to workhorse Sony a7S III by putting it through a series of real world test which helps answer the question, is it really better than the a7S III?
