We went STRAIGHT UP A MOUNTAIN! Mount Washington Cog Railway in New Hampshire (RV East Coast Trip)

What an experience!!! I am so glad we decided to take a ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway! We almost didn't since they had stopped the rides all the way to the summit just two weeks prior to oour trip, but we decided to give it a try anyway... great decision! We lucked up with fresh snow... it had just snowed for the first time this year two days prior to our ride. So, what is a cog railway you ask? This is the first one of it's kind on Mount Washington. Originally, it was a steam engine and now powered by bio-diesel, the engine literally pushes the train cars up the mountain. You are on such an incline sometimes they will not let you stand up for fear of falling over. The neatest part for us was going from no snow at all at base camp to snow so thick all you could see was white. So those of you from up north may not see the wow factor in this... but for a couple from Louisiana, it is incredible! We even got to stop at about 3500 ft for hot chocolate, coffee and a warm fire. After the train ride, we explored all of the beauty around Mt. Washington. There are rivers and streams that words can not describe, you just have to see them.
