Dick Clement, a screenwriter and director, recounts his year in Connecticut on his ESU Secondary School Exchange - from how his first day in the US was spent watching the Brooklyn Dodgers play at Ebbets Field accompanied by the witch from The Wizard of Oz, Margaret Hamilton, to how it gave him a different perspective on Britain. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The English-Speaking Union believes in the power of spoken communication.
