Morning Walk in Cliffside Harbor Town | Shodoshima, Japan 4K

Walking the quiet neighborhoods of Fukuda, a small port town on Shodoshima, with ferries connecting the island to the mainland via Himeji. I had a few minutes before my ferry left, and I was attracted by the interesting cliffs just outside of town. There was just enough time to get the drone in the air for a few aerials and take a quick walkthrough before departure. I really liked the feel of the town, with some old / traditional buildings sitting comfortably between the sheer cliffs and the harbor waters. After boarding the ferry I decided to keep recording to get a wider view of the island and some of the heavily quarried cliffs. The stone from this island was used in the building of Osaka Castle, and the stair-step marks on the mountain we see while leaving the harbor are hundreds of years old.
