Original colourless photographs, turning into colourised versions. All these people are indigenous Sami people of the Arctic, based in Norway, Sweden and Finland. Many of these photos were taken by anthropologists that were doing racial research on indigenous people, where they used methods as measuring skull size, and other body features. Very often the researchers concluded from these studies, theories that today would be looked upon as racistic.
