This clip was created to help the public understand how we protect privacy when searching for missing persons or domestic animals. Where the goal of this release is to help eliminate drone fear. When our pilots are operating in semi-rural environments - We may encounter populated areas. This is an example of how we do our best to leverage thermal only in congested areas and only switch to visual when needed and zoomed in. In field/rural environments - We run dual cameras since there are no privacy concerns. It should be noted that if we are near farm areas with tools/equipment - We do our best to switch to thermal only. The above is done in order to protect privacy and also take into consideration public information requests if our videos are downloaded by government offices. ---- AFRS is a nonprofit fire/search/rescue organization that utilizes certified firefighters to operate amazing public safety robotics (drones).
