Jimmy Cornett and the Deadmen is a blues and southern rock band from Hamburg. Line up: Jimmy Cornett - vocals, guitar Frank Jäger - double bass Claudia Lippmann - drums Dennis Adamus - guitar JIMMY CORNETT FRONTMAN Growing up in the nowhere of the Weserbergland in the 1980s, Jimmy was quick to be influenced by legends such as Richie Havens, John Lee Hooker, Dion, Chuck Berry, Elvis and Johnny Cash. Real momentum in his artistic career came in the early 1990s when he moved to Hamburg. As a member of various formations, but above all as a solo musician, he quickly became known far beyond the city limits. In 2007 he released his solo debut Rhythm Of Hells - Songs Of Angels History, in which Cornett tells the history of the Hells Angels together with music legends such as Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones, Jerry Garcia, Johnny Cash or Hank Williams set to music. In 2010 he shot a video for the title track in the Pyrenees in preparation for Deadmen's debut album Raise The Dust, and the following year he released his solo EP California Session, which also featured actress Julia Roberts' nephew. another prime example of the international orientation of his music. FRANK JÄGER DOUBLE BASS No name is called more often during a concert by the fans and solidarity double bass players of the nation in the audience: "Frankie" resounds through the halls when Frank Jäger plucks, bows or usually pulls hard on his double bass. He is a professional in his field. This is not only apparent when the woofer bathes in the crowd playing with his musical instrument on his back. With his strong stature, the obligatory roll in his hair, he provides the swinging boogie-woogie sound with his powerful playing, which unmistakably creates space. Don't be fooled, he's not a rockabilly kid. He has further developed the style and gives the Deadmen an incomparable sound. CLAUDIA LIPPMANN DRUMS The show begins and ends with her. The woman on drums is a music industry exotic, with the tattooed larynx undoubtedly turning heads on stage, and insiders know her story is undoubtedly breathtaking: At the age of 14 she received her first drum lessons. Later comes the full-time Studied at the Drummers Institute in Düsseldorf, where she received her diploma with distinction. As a percussionist, Claudia Lippmann has performed with international greats since she was 18, also because she successfully completed the percussion master class with Kwashie Safroh (master drummer from Ghana). She gains television presence as part of the Rundfunk Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld in Jan Böhmermann's "Neo Magazin Royal". DENNIS ADAMUS LEAD GUITAR Dennis Adamus taught himself his first chords at the age of 14. Whenever he managed to slip past the entrance controls of the Hamburg music clubs, he attended the concerts of his role models and persistently annoyed Jimmy Cornett at his performances, asking if he could play with him. The two have been playing string to string for a number of years now – he is the lead guitar for the Deadmen. As a solo artist, Adamus belongs to the new generation of the country-pop scene. The singer/songwriter's own songs are catchy and danceable. That's not the only reason why the German bar scene likes to book him solo.
