Embree is part of the oneAPI Rendering Toolkit. Embree won a Scientific and Technical Achievement Award at the 2021 Oscars. Embree is a ray-tracing kernels library. These kernels are all highly optimized, for CPU and soon for GPU. The API is fairly simple and easy to integrated, it is feature-rich, and customizable, open spec, and open source.
