Nineveh Fast Day 17: Spiritual Warfare & The Power of Our Lady of Sorrows

Day 17 of the Nineveh Fast takes us deeper into the desert and into the reality of spiritual warfare. Today we turn to one of Heaven’s most powerful weapons: Our Lady of Sorrows. When we call upon her, she helps reveal the hidden defects in our souls so we can root them out and build the virtues necessary to fight the enemy. The spiritual masters teach us: “Know thyself.” Only when we see our weaknesses can we begin to conquer them with grace. Through prayer, fasting, and virtue, we grow stronger in holiness and become more effective in the battle for our souls, our families, and the Church. Today we also offer reparation to the Holy Face of Jesus for priests, for holiness in the Church, and for the protection of our families from diabolical incursion.
