John Dos Passos Coggin is a writer, artist, and public policy communications professional working in climate, clean energy, and conservation. He worked for a decade as a federal communications contractor, supporting climate and clean energy communications at three U.S. government agencies. Coggin also has a parallel career in creative writing. His first book, an authorized biography of Florida governor and U.S. senator Lawton Chiles entitled Walkin’ Lawton, was published in 2012. He also writes nonfiction essays, screenplays, and poetry. Finally, as the grandson of renowned American author John Dos Passos, he co-manages the Dos Passos literary estate.
