In this video: We explore the integration and Git workflows associated with MPLAB Xpress, which has been designed primarily to work with Git. A temporary Sandbox is provided, which will store your project for up to a week, so getting familiar with the Git or GitHub workflows is an important part of using Xpress. So, to save the work we either File-Export to download and use with MPLAB X IDE, or as we’ll do in this video use View-Git Controls to commit your project to a git repository. Here we demonstrate how to create an empty Git repository on GitHub and find the URL to use this as a Remote. From Xpress we then stage all changes and (add a commit comment) “First commit”, then commit and push. Then going back to our repository and refreshing, … we can now see our project files, including main.c.
