God's Love: For Us - Mark 1 Series Sermon

How do you know someone truly loves you? In Mark 1:9–13 we see the answer in Jesus. Though He had no sin, He steps into the waters of baptism, endures hunger in the wilderness, and faces the devil’s temptations. The third stanza of “O Love, How Deep” reminds us that every part of this story happened for us. This Lenten sermon reflects on Christ’s love shown through His willingness to endure what we deserved, and how His victory over temptation gives us hope in our own struggles. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him.
