Fun fact, the overnight train used to be the only way foreigners could travel from Cairo to Luxor, because they used to arm the trains for protection, but now there are loads of different ways to travel including planes, trains, and buses. Even though it's now actually more expensive to take the overnight train for 8 hours than it is to fly for 1 hour, I chose to take the Abela Express for the experience.
