This video captures our first full experience in Cusco, exploring the historic center both at night and during the day. We begin at our hotel in the historic district before stepping out onto the streets to see Cusco’s famous stone walls—layers of pre-Inca, Inca, and later colonial construction still shaping the city today. In the evening, we visit Cusco Cathedral, where lights across the surrounding hills glow like stars against the night sky. Dinner brings us to Cicciolina, located in a historic Casa Palacio, before returning to the main square to point out notable dining options such as Morena, where reservations are often essential—especially around the Plaza de Armas. The next day, we drive through the city, passing the mayor’s office on the way to Qorikancha, highlighting the contrast between pre-Inca foundations, precise Inca stonework, and later Spanish construction. We also take time to look at artwork within the courtyard.
