Original Photos of Pre-war British Cars Part 1 | 1910s 1920s 1930s 1940s vintage car images

This photo collection takes pre-war British cars as its theme, and includes a huge variety of original b&w car photos. The majority of the vintage cars featured date to the late 1910s, 1920s and 1930s, and I've included a few where the cars may have been built shortly after WW2 but are, essentially, of pre-war design. A number that show British-built cars requisitioned for use by the military during the Second World War are also to be found. As with the collections of 1950s/1960s classic British car photo collections already uploaded, the photos are interesting not just for the car(s) they feature, but the environments in which they were used and the fashions that were then commonplace. Some of these images already feature in the image archive on the main Old Classic Car website, to which this channel is associated, others are new and previously un-published. All though should be of interest to anyone with a passion for pre-war cars, vintage motoring, and life in general during the early-mid 20th century. Popular models from car manufacturers such as Austin, Standard, Morris, Vauxhall and Ford rub wheelarches with really obscure, near-forgotten, makes and models from the vintage era. Not many people will remember the Eric-Campbell light car, or the Albert tourer for example, yet both are represented in this collection. 2022 is the 100th anniversary of the Austin 7's introduction, and several examples feature, including in this video's thumbnail where a young lady is shown demurely sat on the bonnet of a vintage Austin 7 box saloon.
