This video is a continuation of of my 2025 ultimate summer adventure road trip, and it focuses on my time in Waterton Lakes National Park. I had previously been in Saskatchewan, and before that in the flat northern part of Alberta, so I was immediately struck with how great it felt to be back into the mountains. And oh boy the mountains here were spectacular. Waterton Lakes National Park features pretty much endless insane mountain views, and it might even have the most impressive views of all the National Parks I've been too. At least in a small concentrated area around town. This video starts in the campsite where I discover a mouse nest in my van, which made me sad, but then I moved on to driving the Red Rock parkway, and eventually hiking in the Red Rock canyon itself. The Red Rock canyon is one of the most famous spots in Waterton, but it was cool. I pushed on further than anyone else, by going in waste deep water, and it was definitely worth that even though the water was cold. After Red Rocks I hiked up to Blackiston Falls, which was a short trail, with a great payoff at the end. Then it was time to go back to camp for some dinner, and to sleep in my potentially mouse inhabited van. Day 2 was wiped out by pouring rain, so I moved straight to day 3, where I started by walking around town. I checked out some of the cool stuff within walking distance, the beach, Cameron falls, Emerald Bay, the international peace park, and got a nice view of the Prince Of Wales hotel. After that I drove the Akamina parkway, and walked around Cameron Lake. I Had lunch in the parking lot, then headed back to town to walk the Bears Hump Trail. This is one of the most popular hikes in the park, and has absolutely stunning views of Waterton Lake at the top. At the top I pointed out a random road that I had planned on stealth camping on, which leads me to day 3. I got woken up on Day 3 by an angry park warden, and eventually settled on getting a warning and having to pay for a night of camping. I had no problem doing that, as I would of paid for camping, but I decided to wing it after my original paid for nights of camping expired. But take this as a warning, do not steath camp on the street of Waterton or you will get caught. I didn't want that to be my final memory or Waterton Lakes, so I did one final hike up to Bertha lake. It was a nice hike, but it was 4 and a half hours long, and I think the payoff on the Bears Hump Trail was better, and only and hour and a half long. All things considered, it was a pretty awesome trip, but also a total mess. But I guess that's life. I also did a bonus review of Weiners of Waterton, which was a hot dog place in town.
