His mother refuses to allow him too, believing it's a waist of time and he is simply going nowhere with the path he is choosing to take; Jasmine's father wishes she would simply act as a princess should, get married to the prince selected for her and live "happily ever after". Allowing him to explore one time for the experience, Jim's mother agrees to letting him go on an upcoming journey. Jasmine runs away to seek out her dream and become an explorer as well. After meeting on the S.S. Legacy, a spark is they ignited between the two and they fall in love, but when jasmine returns home, her father refuses to allow them to see one another. Jim, however, refuses to allow this. He cases after his love and demands he hand in marriage.
