May 6 2014 Well, did not see too many videos of this item online so figured on a quick turn on run to the indoor outdoor settings without me talking about it. In the test video there is some feedback i noticed on the indoor setting, did not have this problem the next day so not sure what its detecting. But it does show how it activates during lightning though so can not complain. That night, while it was sitting "on" on top of my stations display it did activate its beeps for a storm at the northern edge of McHenry Co. So it works great, was able to test it again the next day on storms that were about 18mi to my south in Sycomore and Dekalb IL.
