Spitfire, wolf 926, was born to royalty, Yellowstone royalty. Her great, great grandparents were 9 and 10, two of the original wolves reintroduced into Yellowstone in 1995. Her great-grandparents were 21 and 42. Wolf M21 was the most famous wolf in Yellowstone. Her parents were 755 and ’06. Both 21 and ’06 are Yellowstone wolf legends and ’06 died the same way her daughter, 926, did, by a bullet during a “trophy” hunt. This is the story of Spitfire's life.
