The makeup artist asked me the rawest questions without any filter and some were very ignorant, so I wanted to help educate her. p.s. For some people who might have thought I was laughing and agreeing with her... No, I didn't laugh with her. I laughed at her. I laughed at her ignorance. I could have got offended and yelled at her, but I didn't. I chose not to be offended. Instead, I decided to use this opportunity to educate her and give her good impression so that she will remember us and she will start saying Black people are nice and kind and Black children are really adorable. The reason I titled "When you marry a Black man, this is what happens" was this type of ignorant questions are not something I come across once in a life time, I hear this type of ignorant remarks about races quite often. She insulted my husband and my children. (my children are considered Black! They are culturally Korean, Kenyan, and American, but they are viewed as Black in the US. Most Black people in the US are mixed actually. ) I decided to educate her and enlighten her instead of calling her out. What she said was very ignorant and wrong, but I don't want to condemn her just because of her lack of experience and lack of exposure.
