How to bustle a dress with my sew along at the Life kawaii! Easy dress bustling for anyone who wants to learn to sew. A how to bustle a dress tutorial. This is the last video of my sew along featuring the McCalls pattern 6701. For this sewing tutorial you will only need a needle and thread, and obviously the completed McCalls pattern 6701 dress. In this sew along video you can learn how to bustle a dress that way that I like to do it. Though this dress design doesn't feature a bustled dress design, I am very happy with how it looks. I think this may be on of my favorite patterns that I've ever sewn. If you wanted to do a wedding dress bustle diy, you could also use this same technique but sew on straps to tie instead. There are numerous bustle dress styles and techniques that you can use, but this one is fast and permanent making it one of my favorites. My dress bustle is finished using just needle and thread, but you can use bias tape as a tie, or even just stitch parts of the skirt together with your sewing machine. This is an easy sewing DIY that you can use on other dresses you have too. I really like maxi dresses and long dresses, but sometimes I like to change up my favorite clothing. This is a fun way to alter a long dress to make it new and interesting once again. It's also a good sewing for beginners alteration because it's not hard or overly time consuming. You'll definitely see me do this in my future sewing projects. It's basically one of my top go-to's for quickly hemming a dress or making a dress modern. If you're thinking of sewing a dress that's dramatic but still very wearable, I would highly recommend this one.
