It's truly criminal how this OST didn't get at least nominated at the 2024 Oscars But yeah if you read the message I put at the beginning of the vid, I am indeed working on a 3+ hour long video around the soundtrack for Across The Spider-Verse and have been for months now. Why exactly? Well it all started while I was listening to Daniel Pemberton's incredible OST for this movie back in January of this year. Since it was fire of course, I initially planned on doing a slowed + reverb video on the first 7 tracks used in the movie (so basically every song used in the Gwen intro of the film). But then as I was making it, I suddenly got the crazy idea to do this for the entire soundtrack. Not just the OST from Daniel Pemberton, but also the Metro Boomin and other songs played in the movie. Now it took a while for me to find every song used in Across the Spider-Verse, or most of them since there were a couple I just couldn’t find on the internet for whatever reason, but I was able to narrow it down to 52 tracks or songs in total. To be more specific, that's: 34 tracks from the Daniel Pemberton OST 12 tracks from the Metro Boomin Album 6 tracks from other miscellaneous artists A lot I know. This is the easily second longest video I’ve ever made (My first video “Everywhere At The End Of Alec” is still the longest somehow), and the most work I've put into any project or video on this channel ever. Due to that, I'll probably never make something like this again (unless it's on Beyond The Spider-Verse, but no promises on that happening in the future). So this could very well be my “magnum opus” once it’s finally completed. Also I originally planned for the 3+ hour long video to come out on the 1 year anniversary of the movie releasing, which is June 2nd or the same day this sneak peek is being released, but due to the massive size of the project, it'll have to be delayed by another month or more unfortunately. At this point I have no official release date for when it'll come out, but just know that I am working on it and will try to get it out by the end of the summer. And as for the copyright problems I mentioned in this video, there's a possibility that the 3+ hour video, or maybe even this sneak peek video, will get taken down or be blocked globally due to copyright. I'm by no means the owner of this soundtrack and am completely at the will of Sony on this, so I'm hoping that since I'm not making any money off of this nor am I using actual footage of the film, I'll be able to upload the full video one day without any major problems. We'll have to wait and see what happens in regards to that tho. Anyways, that's pretty much it. Sorry for the super long description but I just wanted to lay out all of the history and plans I have for this project. As I said at the end of the vid, I'm hoping to get it out by this July or August, but there's no guarantee that's gonna happen. Additionally, I'll still be uploading another video in 2 weeks, but after that there'll be no new vids for a couple weeks since I'll be on vacation for around 3 weeks, which has unfortunately delayed the release of the project by a bit. Nonetheless, hope you guys enjoy this sneak peek and eventually the 3+ hour long video whenever that comes out.
