Recently, Dr. Gavin Ortlund of @TruthUnites released a video entitled "Why Believe in Divine Simplicity?" where he offered three reasons in 5 minutes. Several viewers reached out, asking for my thoughts on the matter. So I brought on Dr. Ryan Mullins and Dr. Alan Rhoda to respond to Gavin's video with me. Divine Simplicity is the doctrine that all of God's attributes and actions are identical to God. As you will see, there are some major issues with Divine Simplicity that are so severe that Christians should not affirm it. This being said, we like Gavin and our response is in no way intended to be mean spirited, but rather just a friendly in-house discussion among Christian brothers.
