After getting asked many times about the DCC power bus on the layout, we've done this video to try & explain a little bit more about it. Suitable for all DCC systems / DCC controlled layouts. For more details please visit: http://www.brian-lambert.co.ukDCC.htm On his website, scroll down to where it says power bus. Mr Lambert explains the various different sizes (& rating) of wires to use for the power bus. Plus many many useful hints & tips on his web page, which should be a help to all railway modellers. For those that don't know this layout or seen previous video's, the layout is: Currently under construction, is on two levels, it's size is around 12 foot by 11 & 1/2 foot, Is DCC controlled by Hornby's Elite DCC controller (as seen), has a one dual controlled test track to allow DCC & DC models to be run in etc, track work is by Peco (code 100) with all points being electrofrog (apart from two double slip cross over points which are insulfrog). When completed it'll have double track main line with over head catenary, main line station, local station, loco MPD, container depot, car loading bay, postal depot (rail served), rail served factory, winter canal scene, lower level storage loops with reverse loop & continuous lower level running lines, suspension bridge. Also a dual control test track powered by both DCC & DC controllers, via a DPDT switch. More model railway video's coming shortly....
