Wake Audubon Monthly Meeting: Royal Tern and American Oystercatcher Time: FEBRUARY 10, 2026, 7:30 - 9:00 pm Wake Audubon Monthly Meeting: Audubon NC Coast Program Update: A First Look at Royal Tern Migration Strategies and A Novel Approach to Protecting American Oystercatcher Nesting Habitat Hear from Audubon North Carolina’s Lindsay Addison, coastal waterbird biologist, whose work helps manage and protect 40% of the state’s nesting coastal waterbirds. This talk will share early insights from tracking Royal Terns on the Cape Fear River and highlight innovative living shoreline efforts—using shell rakes—to enhance nesting habitat for American Oystercatchers.
