Finishing the Last Details & Stone Delivery Arrives! | Farm Renovation in Southern France

But first, since we have animals, they need some well-deserved attention too. Philippe and Odin team up to clean out the chicken coop because we might be dealing with blood mites. After that, Philippe decides to move on of our cameras from the coop to a higher spot overlooking our fields. We haven’t really seen any predators around the coop… or so we think. The following days are filled with smaller but important tasks, like installing the rainwater manholes that give access to underground pipes in case they ever get blocked. Philippe installs five of them around both barns. Next comes finishing the geotextile all around the courtyard. In the meantime, our rooster decides to misbehave and attacks Philippe, hurting his foot, so now we’re extra careful whenever Odin is nearby. The rooster is only doing his job defending his territory, but we’ll need to stay alert. With the geotextile laid all around, we’re ready for the first stone delivery! This marks the beginning of the final step in finishing the driveway, and we can finally say we’re almost there.
