Right then, buckle up for the grand finale of the Thakhek Loop! This part Part 3 bumper edition sees us journeying from Na Hin and delving deep into the heart of Laos. Get ready for some incredible sights and a taste of real adventure! This is the big one and it took some time to produce, but don’t forget to watch Pt.1, Pt.2 and the bonus safety and packing episode first if you haven’t already. In this episode, we kick off in Na Hin, the starting point for our ride to the legendary Kong Lor Cave. We'll take you inside this massive cavern, said to be 8 to 9 kilometres long, for an unforgettable 1.5-hour boat trip through its depths. Be amazed by the massive stalactites – they are truly breath-taking. The road to Kong Lor from Na Hin was a real highlight – straight and easy, making for an awesome ride with the classic Lao scenery and ambience. But that's not all! We also brave the depths of the Tam Nam Nom Cave, a colossal cave system thought to be 45 km long and largely unmapped. Join me as I venture 45 minutes into this vast and empty cavern – it's an eerie but impressive experience. Take spare batteries and don’t worry about lunch - there are plenty of flies to inhale. Following our cave explorations, we make our way to "The Rock" viewpoint, a fantastic spot with zip lines and walkways offering incredible views – a definite must-stop even if you don't fancy the high-flying activities. Remember: Stay vigilant for those potholes and keep a safe distance from other vehicles, as the roads can be unpredictable. After a wonderful few days, we complete the loop and head back to Thakhek. The entire loop was around 500km and absolutely worth it for a unique and inexpensive motorbike adventure.
