MORNING WRAP: Bumrah injury status, no update on Santner and Jacks; Bangladesh allows IPL telecast Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Santner and Will Jacks were the notable absentees from Mumbai Indians' (MI) mandatory training session held two days before their first match of IPL 2026, against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 29. After the T20 World Cup final loss against India on March 8, Santner captained New Zealand for the first three T20Is against South Africa at home and was given a break for the last two. Jacks, meanwhile, was part of the England squad that lost to India in the semi-final and had departed India on a chartered flight shortly after. It is yet to be confirmed whether either Santner or Jacks has arrived in India. Ahead of the game on Sunday, both MI and KKR trained simultaneously at the Wankhede Stadium. For MI, Rohit Sharma was among the first to take strike in the nets, batting for over an hour predominantly against pace. He faced extended spells from Shardul Thakur and the captain Hardik Pandya, which included several short-pitched deliveries. Hardik followed up a near-hour-long bowling stint with an extended batting session. We talk sport 24x7, 365 days a year. Come join us for the latest analysis, exclusive interviews, news, and updates.
