As the UCLA Bruins join the Big Ten in time for the 2024 college football season, they seem to be undergoing a lot of transition and may not be an immediate threat to compete in the Big Ten. However, they do have a secret weapon and that is offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. Young quarterbacks should love the opportunity to work with the former offensive coordinator for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. SECRET WEAPON ERIC BIENIEMY But the Bieniemy system and language is not easy to learn and the UCLA football roster needs a talent upgrade. Head coach and alumnus DeShaun Foster has his work cut out for him. UCLA started to play Big Ten-worthy defense last year but the USC Trojans stole the Bruins defensive coordinator and a couple of defensive backs. We will watch this program with great interest as they try to build something in Westwood. The NCAA announced a 4 year show cause penalty for former head coach Jim Harbaugh. However, this is tied to BurgerGate, NOT SpyGate! It is hard to keep track of the NCAA these days. What it means is Harbaugh will not be coaching college football anytime soon. But he does not care because he has an $80 million dollar contract to coach the Los Angeles Chargers for many, many years.
