The Blue Planet Impact vest was designed specifically for foil sports to protect the torso and ribs during hard impacts with the water as well as impact with the foil or board. It provides padded foam protection around the ribs and torso on front, back and sides. It provides a similar amount of floatation as a regular life jacket though it is not coast guard approved. It is constructed of neoprene and nylon, with a front zipper, adjustable waist belt with quick release buckle, and velcro closure at the top of the zipper. The vest is designed to fit tight, we recommend the same size you would wear in a T-shirt, or one size up if you prefer a looser fit.
