Marshmallow snowman’s little brother I know there will be people out there with zero interest in this item at all, but this is a big upload for me. This is yet another exciting regained childhood item! Sorta. Like the snowman I posted last night, this was sold alongside a pink variant at Dollar General around 2009. I actually bought a pink one back then because it was the only one left in stock at the time, which is hard to believe because I was never allowed to have anything pink or “girly” when I was little 😂. I was even with my dad, I remember the day like it was yesterday. We had just come from the doctor’s where he agreed to buy me a $5 singing toy from the dollar store if I was good. I picked out a larger Hugfun dancing polar bear but had to put it back because it was like $8 or $10 or something… nowadays even this snowman would cost at least $20 😭. Anyway, that poor thing got a lot of use. I remember bringing him to show and tell at preschool, leaving him out in the rain on more than one occasion, and coloring a fake on/off switch on his battery compartment because there’s an empty space for one 🤣. He quit dancing after awhile, which I’m sure was due to a loose wire. You can see him in that condition in this old video at around 4:19 (   • A Blast from the Past  ) Sadly he was eventually thrown out, but he waved goodbye saying “don’t you cry, I’ll be back again someday”. I never did see another one until Christopher S found the one in this video at a thrift store and sent it to me on January 14th, 2026. Because of course he did, he always does 😂. I have a feeling this guy lived a fun life too, judging by the condition he arrived in. Externally, he was filthy dirty, his clothes were all pilled up, and he had paint and glue stuck in his snow fur. Internally, there was a wire off his motor, both of his head levers were snapped (bobbing up/down and tilting left/right), and the rubber membrane on his button was worn out and stuck down which I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before lol. It was still an easy restoration overall, especially because I was able to find similar replacement head levers in an old Hugfun bobbing mech I had, which just needed some slight modifications to work for this snowman. He’s perfect now, and I don’t know how to express how happy I am to add this guy to the collection. I think I would still love him even without the sentimental attachment. He looks so nice. He does have an annoying kid voice, but the recording is pretty long and unique. I can’t think of another animatronic off the top of my head that uses the “traffic cop” verse of Frosty. Of course, I am still on the lookout for the pink version.
