During the early 1950's Silvio Scandalli started an ambitious project. Using the company's best technicians, he created an accordion model of unparalleled quality, which in a short time became the dream of all great accordionists: the Scandalli Super VI. It was first accordion in the world with 6 registers in left hand. This instrument set new quality standards and set new directions for the development of the accordion, from which other companies drew their example. Even today, the Scandalli Super VI continues to be an unsurpassed example of musical instrument quality. It took 2 years in the meantime to make total restoration of this instrument. It was totaly disassembled, then it was rebuilded from the beggining, using original parts. Everything is renewed. It has also polished mechanism of right hand. New original grill (old was destroyed). Everything is like new condition. We made also new additional reed blocks set to the left hand. You can replace it in 3 minutes using only screwdriver (very easy) and totaly change left hand sound. Standard reeds starts from C note and chords are starting also from C. In additional reed blocks it is sixte down, starting from E note. Also chords are starting from E, so it is much lower and very special sound. There is special box to storage this additional reed blocks. They are made using old italian reeds as well. Job was done by my authorized certified Scandalli service in Poland in cooperation with Scandalli factory in Italy. It is very unique accordion. Sound is just great and despite the over 60 years old it is like new. It is best occasion to put this most legendary accordion in the world in perfect condition to Your collection!
