Charlie Kirk, 31-year-old conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10, 2025 while speaking at a public event on Utah Valley University’s campus in Orem, Utah. The shot came from a rooftop structure roughly 200 yards away (some reports vary slightly on distance), fired with a bolt-action rifle. Charlie was struck in the neck and later died. Authorities believe the shooter is college-aged and wore dark/tactical clothing including a cap, sunglasses, and a shirt and pants that helped him blend in. A high-powered rifle believed to be used in the shooting has been recovered from a wooded area nearby.
