Hiking in Madeira: PR8 - Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço

This is the second hike I did on Madeira Island called the "Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço". This hike is a round trip over the peninsula on the very east part of the island. It is a very popular and short hike of only 6km in total. In contrast to the Levadas, the Veredas don't necessary follow or encounter irrigation channels, but are rather traditional hiking paths. The paths are good, but undulating - whether you get close to the edges is up to you. The trail follows S.
