Making a PRIMITIVE Bow and Arrow with Stone Tools

In this week's primitive skills video, we're going back to the stone age and building a 100% primitive bow and arrow entirely from scratch. For this bow building project, I'm using no modern tools whatsoever. Everything will be done with primitive stone tools, pottery, sinew, rawhide, and other natural materials. Building a primitive self bow and arrows with stone tools is challenging to say the least. What might take just a few seconds with a proper saw or hatchet might take a half hour using stone age tools. This primitive bow is made from hawthorn, force dried and fire hardened over a bed of coals. My bow building tools consist of obsidian flakes and antler wedges. The primitive arrows are made from ocean spray shoots, fletched with hide glue, turkey feather fletchings, and elk sinew. The primitive bow string is made from elk back sinew and I'll be flint knapping stone arrowheads from obsidian. To mount the stone tips, I'll make pine pitch glue.
