While this is not a full tutorial or gaming PC water cooling guide; it does provide some very valuable information. The information contained in this video is similar to what you may see on channels like JayzTwoCents and Linus Tech Tips. This is a tips and tricks video that provides valuable information for PC Gamers and PC custom builders that are beginners to water cooling a gaming PC. My PC contains an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 and an AMD Ryzen 5800x. All water cooling components used were purchased from Amazon and Micro Center. The manufacturing of the components are mostly made by Corsair. Some of the parts, such as the water cooling fittings, are made by Bitspower. The goal of this video is to help provide water cooling tips and tricks for beginners so that they can complete their first ever custom water cooled PC in 2021. My previous video shows off what my ultimate water cooled gaming PC looks like. A link to that video can be found below. The parts needed in order to water cool a PC are listed here below: A heat gun if you use hard tubing or rigid tubing. A Pump/Reservoir combo that can both hold the liquid and push it through the system. You will need either soft or hard tubing. I used Thermaltake acrylic hard tubing for my PC. You will need fittings. These may include both 45 degree and 90 degree fittings. You will need a radiator. I recommend one 240mm radiator per component. Or you may be able to get away with a single 360mm radiator for everything. You will need a CPU water cooling block. I used the Corsair block for my AMD CPU. You will need a GPU water cooling block. I did not water cool my GPU as Corsair did not have a water cooling block for my RTX 3070 founders edition. However, EK water blocks, also known as EKWB, has multiple options available for the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070 founders edition graphics card. Tips and Tricks: I personally used hard tubing or rigid tubing for my water cooled PC. However, their is nothing wrong with using soft tubing to liquid cool a gaming PC. If you use hard tubing then make sure you have a heat gun that can stand up by itself. Plan your loop before buying your parts. Buy extra parts. Especially water cooling fittings. Do not worry if you struggle to get perfect bends on your tubes. Bend the tube the best you can and always remember you can use either a 90 degree or a 45 degree fitting to fill in any gaps where needed. You don't have to vertically mount your GPU when water cooling. However, it does look absolutely awesome! If you vertical mount your GPU then you will need a riser cable. Make sure you choose the speed of your riser cable in your bios before launching into windows. For example, if you have a Gen 3 PCIE riser cable, then choose Hen 3 in your bios. Otherwise, choose Gen 4 in your bios for the PCIE version. You should use a rotary blade to cut the tubes. A lot of watercooling kits come with a saw to cut the tubes. However, you will not be able to get a clean cut. A rotary blade is much better. You can then use a deburring tool also known as a reamer to file down the tubes. This will make the tubes smooth and provide a perfect fit. This will also help to prevent any leaks. Do all upgrades before water cooling.
