A Night out Fox Shooting with my mate Ian. Running the HikMicro Panther PQ50L thermal rifle scope on my CZ455 17hmr. The Panther is a prototype unit I am testing at the moment and I'll go into more detail after I spend some more time behind it. As a professional shooter, I strive for instant and efficient removal. No animals suffered in this video. All were culled humanely and ethically as per VPAC guidelines. Although we took 2 rifle setups, all the foxes were taken with the 17hmr due to shot location. The majority seen were 3/4 grown pups. They were so focussed on what they were doing that it was near impossible to call them in. It was hard enough just trying to get their attention. 🤦‍♂️ The area we focussed on was about 50 acres. So getting 8 foxes in a couple of hours was a fantastic result. Ian shot the first 6 and I got the final 2 down near my ute just as we were going to call it a night. Shot placement is critical with the 17hmr especially when u are running 17gr projectiles. My mate Ian did awesome and it was great to have some company. Thanks buddy. 👊
