This is the cheapest welding face shield I could find online. It costs less than $5 (with shipping) and is really easy to assemble. The welding mask has a regular dark glass, which is not as good and convenient as the auto darkening lens on the welding helmets, but it is better than nothing, and it will protect your eyes from the arc. The welding face shield is made of a thin plastic. There is a plastic handle in the package, as well as the dark glass itself. Everything put together weighs 154 grams ~ 5.43 oz. I wouldn't recommend using this handheld face shield as the main protection during welding, but it is a good back up protection, in case the auto darkening welding helmet gets broken or the battery dies.
