1955 Ford F-600 walk Trundle NSW. Sat 22nd Mar 2025

This 1955 model V8 Ford F-600 tray truck that has spent its entire life in the Trundle district of western NSW. It's currently for sale so if you are interested please leave a comment, the truck was purchased by the current owner in 1965 and was used during harvest time on a local farm. The truck has not had a full restoration and is in the original condition and still runs. These trucks were very popular back in the day and were quite common around the state. Farmers used them as a standard general duties tray truck to haul produce and baled wool, or with a stock crate. Many were used to haul grain, both bagged and bulk, during harvest. Known as the "Second Generation" F series they were built between 1953 & 1956 and boasted an adjustable bench seat that seats three. Power brakes were standard and there was a "Ford-O-Matic" automatic transmission on offer as an option. Made in both a ute or truck version by Ford they were made in the USA, Canada and Brazil. The engine is a Ford 100hp Flathead V8 with four speed transmission plus an Eaton two speed axle electric shift. Note the Medium Wave (MW) AM car radio (before the emergence of FM), back in a time where all the major broadcast stations were featured on the dial. As mentioned, the F600 is in working order but does need a little work, anyone interested in purchasing this truck let me know.
