Gorakhpur Neet Student Murder: UP Police Shares Details Of How Events Unfolded I UP News I Crime Gorakhpur SSP Raj Karan Nayyar on September 16 shared details of the murder of a 19-year-old NEET student. He stated that a search operation is underway and the accused will be arrested soon. The victim’s family has demanded strict action against those responsible. According to Nayyar, police received information around 3:00 am that cattle smugglers had entered a village with two pickup vans. When villagers chased them, one vehicle got stuck and the smugglers fled, while a youth from the village pursued the second vehicle. The smugglers allegedly forced him into their vehicle and later pushed him out, causing a fatal head injury. A case has been registered on the family’s complaint and post-mortem proceedings are in progress. Nayyar clarified that rumours of a firearm injury were false, confirming no such injury was found. Five police teams are currently working on the case, and arrests are expected soon. He further informed that one cattle smuggler was caught and beaten by villagers and is under treatment. During the incident, a policeman was also injured by a stone and is receiving medical care.
