Educational video describing a patient case of fracture nonunion of the ribs. The ribs are long curved bones which form the rib cage. A rib fracture is a fracture of the bones which make up the rib cage this fracture usually heals and rarely causes the patient any symptoms. Our patient suffered from painful fracture nonunions of the ribs. Surgery was done to expose the nonunions of the ribs and to stabilize the fractures with a plate and bone graft. Two of the fracture nonunions were fixed with plate and bone graft. One of the fracture nonunions was stable and left alone. The ribs with fracture nonunion healed and the patient did well.
