Each grid contains counting points determined via GPS, and I spent exactly five minutes at each point recording bird pairs within and beyond a 50-meter radius. Quiet behavior is essential to minimize disturbance, and the process involves careful observation and note-taking to ensure high-quality data for conservation efforts. The day brought incredible findings, including the first-ever dipper registered in this route, along with plenty of wheatears and meadow pipits. The experience was not only scientifically rewarding but also deeply inspiring, with clear skies and breathtaking mountain views.
