This time, I take the (7) LOCAL train during the afternoon. During weekday afternoons, reverse peak trains run Westbound; Local and Express trains run Eastbound. I was hoping to complete this back in December, but timing was off. A lot of stations on the Flushing Line are overdue for an upgrade, and you can see it with the old windscreens at elevated stations along Roosevelt Av. Even though CBTC helped to speed up this line, it isn’t complete unless renovations and accessibility construction occur. As part of the Capital Plan, stations along Roosevelt Av will undergo renovations and elevator upgrades or installations will take effect. Starting in June, expect delays in (7) train service both ways because when construction starts at Woodside-61 St, there will be NO {7} Express trains between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway. All trains will make local stops in that section. Despite passengers hating delays, it should be expected for the better in the future.
