MA Xibalba is unquestionably in contention for 'worst nation in the game'; an exceptionally weak lineup of troops, very mediocre sacreds, and some distinctly overpriced mages make playing the nation a struggle through the first couple of years and open up a very real possibility of being rushed down early on. But if you can get past that hump and establish a solid position, a few possibilities open up as your Zotz mages can begin to carry the nation and turn you towards being a highly efficient blood power. Terrain is essential for Xibalban success; forests and caves provide your Wayob and Camazotz, respectively - the two mages who carry the nation - while underwater provinces can provide hard-to-attack strongholds you can use to secure safe income and recruitment potential that stronger land-based enemies may not be able to take away.
