I loved the first 30 minutes again and liked it a bit further into the movie after watching it many years later, but really it's a slag of a watch about a rich person whining. For instance, the Rosebud introduction at the beginning is a bit corny. Just go sledding! Citizen Kane is just very slow moving in the second half of the story. A rich man tortures his wife twice and then we're supposed to feel sorry for him because he wants to be poor? Charles Foster Kane wasn't a good person, he ran a yellow journalism column and was unkind to both of his wives.
