由 Thomas Schlatter 創立，Formosa Soul Club 是一個以台北為據點的音樂集體與系列活動，致力於鑑賞稀有的 Soul、Funk、Disco 及 Boogie。對於那些比起現代數位的便利性，更看重類比音訊真實性的收藏家與舞者而言，這裡是一處音樂聖殿。其核心精神在於頌揚黑膠收藏與「挖片（Crate digging）」文化中那種粗獷且近乎執著的純粹。 核心準則： 堅持首版原盤： 唱盤僅保留給原版黑膠唱片。拒絕數位捷徑，不播放盜版（Bootlegs），亦不使用重刻版（Reissues）。 冷門勝過金曲： 選樂刻意避開顯而易見的電台熱門神曲。雖然偶爾會穿插經典作品，但重心始終放在稀有且被低估的曲目上。 混音風格： 混音手法嚴謹且充滿敬意。所有的重心皆完全回歸唱片本身，讓音樂自己說話。 Ricky 受父親對 70 與 80 年代 Soul 與 Disco 熱愛的薰陶，Ricky 的音樂風格深植於 vintage groove 之中。一場 all-vinyl 派對上的契機，成為了他音樂生涯的關鍵轉折，不僅讓他結識了啟蒙導師，更開啟了他對挖掘與播放黑膠唱片的深厚熱情。Ricky 擅長將 Funk、Soul、Disco 與 Boogie 經典揉合，打造出充滿正向能量且令人愉悅的現場演出，總能讓舞池中的人們整夜律動不停。 Founded by Thomas Schlatter, Formosa Soul Club is a loose collective and event series based in Taipei, dedicated to the appreciation of rare soul, funk, disco, and boogie music. It serves as a sanctuary for collectors and dancers who value the authenticity of analog sound over modern digital convenience. At its heart, the club celebrates the gritty, obsessive culture of vinyl collecting and crate digging. The Core Tenets: Original Pressings: The decks are reserved for original vinyl, no digital shortcuts, no bootlegs, and no reissues. Obscurity over Hits: The curation deliberately skips obvious radio anthems. While the occasional classic finds its way into the sets, the focus remains on the rare and underplayed. The mixing style is deliberate and respectful. The focus remains entirely on the record itself, letting the music do the talking. Ricky Influenced by his father’s love for ’70s and ’80s soul and disco, Ricky’s sound is grounded in vintage groove. A pivotal moment at an all-vinyl event led him to his mentor and to a deep passion for collecting and spinning records.
