Making Traditional Victorian Window and Door Decorative Pediment Headers

A pediment is "a triangular architectural feature commonly found above doorways, windows, or at the top of a building's facade..." These aren't exactly the most ornate or detailed pediments out there, but they are a historical element that is original to our house. In this video I make three more pediments to add to the back of the house and the shed to tie the style together from the front of the house. After lots of invisible work (i.e. electrical, plumbing, base coats of plaster hidden under paint, etc.) it's exciting to work on things that are completely visible and decorative with the intent to enhance the character of the house.
